A Statement From The Pastor
Covid-19 And Our Church
December 21, 2020
We were excited about the partial reopening of our Bible study ministry on Oct. 4.
Two adult Sunday School classes now gather in larger spaces. The Berean Class, Lee Griffin, teacher, meets in the sanctuary, and the Adult 2 Class, Mary Boyd, teacher, meets in the fellowship hall. Members of other classes , those not in a Bible study class and guests are encouraged to attend in the sanctuary or fellowship hall.
We also have nursery, children’s and youth Sunday School, too, using the larger spaces in the Children’s Wing.
We’ll continue to follow necessary health and safety protocols. The governor’s current order has removed percentage barriers to occupancy, but we continue to wear masks when entering and extiting (just like at restaurants), and at other times as preferred. We also maintain social distancing inside while avoiding intimate contact with those not in our immediate family.
We encourage frequent hand-washing and/or sanitizing. Hand-sanitizing stations are located throughout our building.
In-person worship in our sanctuary is at 10:30, as it has been since May 31, and Sunday School begins at 9:15 a.m.
We also recommenced Wednesday night activities on Oct. 7. Adults can socially distance in the sanctuary, and our children and youth can do the same in the Children’s Wing. Adults meet at 6:30 p.m. and youth at 6 p.m. Adults currently are doing a verse-by-verse study of the Book of Acts.
We trust we can sponsor additional classes and groups in the new year. For now, we’re proceeding cautiously and safely. We’re doing all we can to protect everyone to whom we minister.
Please know that we welcome you to our church.
Please let us know if you have further questions to which we can respond.
